Is it merely what we see? Or can it go beyond the bounds of what is normally accepted as 'real'? I think there are times when what we are feeling alters how we see things. This photo expresses the reality of what I felt as I stood at the edge of Mono Lake. The moody clouds parted just over the lake to reveal a bright disc of sky. The dancing light on the water drew me in and up to that bright opening.
In my photography I strive to see with the eyes of my heart. I love Nature and all her wild places, Her textures and designs and Her creatures. I believe that Nature is a healing force and a refuge from the chaos of daily life. When we are quiet and listen, we can find peace and discover our own inner voice of wisdom.
