Artist's Description

We had the priviledge of spending the morning at the Pismo Beach Snowy Plover nesting area with a State Park Ranger. This little Plover is only a few days old and already has identifying leg bands. When Plovers are born their legs and feet are already adult size, but their bodies are tiny. We had to photograph from the car, so it was a bit challenging.
